Kohli and Gill tried to stabilize the innings, focusing more on defense to keep their wickets intact. However, Gill couldn’t last long and was caught by Lyon after scoring 20 runs off 64 balls. This third wicket fell just moments before lunch, putting India under pressure again. Kohli and Gill managed a 40-run partnership from 106 balls, but it wasn’t enough to ease the situation.
