In the Australian city of Perth, where Indian legends have scored centuries, today, young talented Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century of 161 runs on Day 3 of the 2024 1st Test, putting India in a strong position. Australia started well with good fielding and aggressive bowling, but KL Rahul and Jaiswal built a solid partnership of 201 runs without any pressure. On Day 3 of the 2024 1st Test, during the last session, when Australia started chasing a target of 534 runs, they lost 3 wickets for just 12 runs in 4.2 overs. In the final 24 minutes before the day’s stumps, India’s bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and M. Siraj delivered excellent bowling, taking the wickets of McSweeney, the night-watchman Pat Cummins, and Marnus Labuschagne, bringing India very close to victory.
